Mailing and Mechanisation was founded in 1977. This wholly South African owned company originated as part of ICL Computers. The company specialises in the marketing and after-sales care of a wide range of forms handling equipment. Since its inception, Mailing and Mechanisation has captured some 70% of the ever-growing South African market. This market is satisfied by a comprehensive range of specific high performance mailing equipment.
The company holds the exclusive distribution rights for South and Southern Africa for the following range of equipment: Kern mailing systems, paper folding and inserting machines, optical mark readers, bursters, decollators, Buhrs plastic wrapping equipment, Welltec pressure sealing equipment, KAS mailing systems, Hedman folding and cheque signing equipment as well as many other dynamic, time and money saving products which can add to the efficiency of all businesses.
During 1990 Mailing and Mechanisation acquired the distributorship for Ascom Hasler franking systems. This world renowned product range incorporates time and money saving electronic and digital postal scales, letter openers and a full spectrum of mail franking systems to match a variety of business requirements. Now an associate organisation to Mailing and Mechanisation, HBS (Hasler Business Systems) offers a diverse range of products which offer unique advantages to most organisations which give HBS a competitive advantage over competitors yet at competitive prices giving the customer the best products at very reasonable prices. HBS offers mailing solutions in the form of Neopost mailing machines, which are designed for small to medium sized mailing requirements, perfect for office use. HBS offers a variety of machinery perfect to suite your every mailing need from start to finish of your mailing operations.

Hasler Business Systems
Hasler Business Systems was purchased by Mailing and Mechanisation in 1990 and is now a separate but associate organisation to Mailing and Mechanisation.
The separation of the two organisations has allowed each to focus their efforts on particular market segments with unique requirements. This focus of specific markets results in the ability of the organisations to be able to supply the right product at the right price, every time.
Hasler Business Systems has a wide range of products, which includes Neopost Mailing Systems, Franking systems, Folders, Scales and Shredders to name but a few.
